Abstract

Atmanirbhar Bharat, translated as "Self-Reliant India," is a strategic initiative launched by the Government of India in 2020 to strengthen the country’s economic independence, resilience, and growth potential. The vision behind Atmanirbhar Bharat is to reduce India’s reliance on foreign countries for essential goods and services and promote indigenous manufacturing, innovation, and entrepreneurship. This paper delves into the importance of this vision, the policies implemented, the challenges faced, and the path forward for India to achieve self-reliance across sectors such as manufacturing, technology, agriculture, and health.
