BARRIERS ON THE WAY OF SUCCESSFUL IMPLEMENTATION OF CONCENTRATING SOLAR PLANTS

The intensive development of tower-type solar plants as well the plants using parabolic troughs (PT) or Fresnel lens is currently observed. It is expected that the total capacity of such operating solar power plants (CSP) would be doubled in the world over the next 5 years. As a rule, the development of methods for increasing their efficiency is carried out abroad on the small experimental test benches simulating the large plants at the site of their future arrangement [1]. In ENIN some such methods were developed both at laboratory plants and on small solar water lifting plants with PT in Bukhara, Fergana and Crimea [2]. The problems that were solved here are under detailed consideration in the article. Simultaneously the great attention is paid to many, sometimes unforeseen difficulties and barriers on the way of implementing CSP in the world.
