Abstract

In the Construction of Random number Table, Rand Corporation applied some mechanical techniques for generating the random numbers. The numbers in the table have been subjected to various statistical test for randomness. In this paper, the randomness of random numbers generated by Rand Corporation have been tested by applying the chi-square (????2) test for testing the significance of difference between observed frequency of each of the digits in the table and the corresponding theoretical (expected) frequency.
