Abstract

in this paper we propose a new approach for peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) reduction for an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system. Although several PAPR reduction algorithms exist in the literature, they are often only effective for specific scenarios.  In our proposed algorithm, a technique is described for reducing the PAPR of OFDM signals by Cascading of Selective mapping (SLM) and Companding methods.
